Light Matter is an annual festival dedicated to the artists' moving image, seeking to bring together works of experimental film, video art, and the media arts. Conventional films need not apply. Preference will be given to shorts, but features will be considered.

Light Matter will present approximately five to seven programs. Screenings will take place on the campus of the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University.

UNFORTUNATE UPDATE: We can no longer consider multi-channel / gallery work, as the video/media galleries used in previous years are no longer available to the festival. This will also mean significantly fewer titles chosen overall.
