There is an artist who used to be (and may still be) a technician at the art gallery of London ON., CANADA who regularly used and made loop projectors for 16mm short loop.. A plexiglass assembly was always prominent..
Cant remember his name, but they were his trademark
In my expercience, the loopers from amsterdam are the cheapest, install the easiest and run the smoothest, assuming mind you that the film to be looped is relatively short (under 5 minutes will run for weeks on end if installed correctly). If i remember correctly, the rudd molleman looper platters only come in one size and they're pretty small.
The loopers designed by Robert Mininiaci (sic?) from Robert Film Inc. are more expensive and trickier to load, but come in various sizes (the largest platter can loop upwards of 30 minutes of film).
