What I like to do with expired Kodachome (either 25 or 40, not II) is to cross- process it in B/W chemistry (D94/D94A) using only the developer and the fix, you have to either over expose it by 4 stops or push it 4 stops. It comes out negative, red and black. You can also process it through all the B/W chemisty and get a washed out silvery positive image that is pretty silimar to B/W. AIDS!

Matt,
I shot some expired kodachrome (not as old as yours) and the only strange
results were some blue blotches in some parts of the film. I've seen
expired neg. film look like a bad video transfer and I've seen it look just
fine. My advice is good luck!
