This is an interesting point. I said "in the world" because my own children
were adopted from Korea, and yes, if no one had adopted them, or if they
hadn't been given up by their birth parents they would have probably grown
up in poverty. And yes, I agree that they will leave a larger footprint on
this earth because they are now good 'ol Americans.
But, there are thousands of children born in the US that need homes too. So
maybe in your eyes to adopt them would be better? I wouldn't necessarily
disagree. It is also a lot cheaper to adopt here (but more complicated,
unfortunately).
