Cool, I havn't followed the thread closely as I mostly
got the impression it was a film vs video thing and I
don't think that's the problem, the problem is the
economics of releasing things on DVD and getting
publicity for these and for film screenings.
Pip seems to be doing a great job with starting this
list and putting out films and stuff.
Formats and resolution etc etc, are all artistic
decisions and as such they are up to the artist
surely!???
...and surely it's great that the artist has a choice
to make films or video.
If some artists don't want their work out on home
video it seems to me that it's not a problem because
theres already plenty of artists who do want their
work released on home video where there is not the
resources to do so.
