Re: noise music / film art crossover

it all sounds very academic, which i suppose is a discouraging word. my
particular area of interest is in the realm of gravel and garble and
nonsense and radical propaganda. but i'm so happy that this dialouge is
happening...even if nobody actually is cruddy enough to want trade tapes or
get down on such a diy level. the thing about film-making that is such a
dirty secret is the money, which always or never gets talked about (this is
more in reference to the 'why shoot film' conversation than the noise/film
art conversation) but i love noise and i love film for the same reason which
is simply that they are so intense and decadent and they are guilty
pleasures but nothing else will do - but one other thing while i'm a little
bit on a drunken rant, which is what is up with 'entry fees' to film
festivals, does anybody else think that this is a perverted culture? like a
weird pyramid scheme or something corrupt?
wtf? xander
