One Tony Gault film has already been mentioned, but I think his other
films (sorry can't remember specific titles) may be useful as well.
Jennifer Reeves isn't shy about making films that face down demons.
There are some obvious classics, Meshes (multiple selves, psychosis),
Anticipation of the Night (true vision drives the seeing subject to
madness)...
A useful theoretical source would be Sandy Stone's 'Violation and
Virtuality' which is about MPD (as metaphor), but could be applied to
bipolar, I think.
