I, for one, am willing to travel and speak if the price is right.

But as Arturo delicately points out, the two times I'm speaking, it's
for free. I suppose I could be outraged....outraged, that my
employer doesn't pay me extra for lending a hand to some energetic
students who have worked very hard to make something wonderful happen
on campus. And then there's all those times I showed my creative
work on campus without getting paid extra for it...boy oh boy, am I
being ripped off. Damn academics!
