Hi Ken,
My camera is the Canon 814XL-S, but my manual covers
both models, and the shutter angle is the same in both
models.
"Shutter Opening Angle:
Variable. By rotating dial with click-stop settings.
Two settings: window icon (220 degrees) for XL
filming,
sun icon (150 degrees) for regular filming.
Auto exposure at either setting.
Angle varies continuously from 220 or 150 to 0 for
fading at electronically-controlled speed."
