Alex Jones conspiracy videos where he ambushes unsuspecting politicians
and accuses them of being part of the new world order or hanging out at
Bohemian grove and so on are pretty alternative in terms of set up.
Guerilla filmmaking in the true sense (regardless of your opinion of
his political perspective).
But the most interesting to me are probably Beth B's documentaries such
as Stigmata & Amnesia.
in classic underground films: Warhol's Screen Tests are certainly an
interrogation, but are they an interview? Portrait of Jason is also
really interesting.
