PinkEye TONIGHT at Eyedrum in Atlanta!
Just when you thought Halloween was over, PinkEye Indie Queer Movie
Salon presents "CreepShow", a cornucopia of tricks & treats at
Eyedrum Gallery. These short films are sick, creepy and, queer -- but
not the usual bad-acting nightmares of gore and blood. No, these
movies are truly disturbing.
Featuring "Trophy" by Teri Rice, twisting the horror so that
victimizer becomes the victim, "Housewife's Revenge" by Philipe
Lonestar, in which a bored housewife teaches her husband the ABC's of
household pain, "The Birthday Party" by Jill Reiter, a strange and
beautiful not-so-sweet 16th birthday, and other titles so sick we
can't print them!
Plus a full evening of salon entertainment: gory and disturbing
performances by Jerome Midnight (Athens Kings Association) and
special guests, DJ LJae, delicious popcorn, beer and wine. Bring your
leftover Halloween candy! And it's only $6 donation ($3-8 sliding
scale) for FOUR HOURS of frighteningly fun entertainment!
Future programs include "Fagsploitation" Dec. 6th, co-presented by DJ
Benito of Mary's, and a "Dirty South" program of local queer indie
erotica in February -- nominations and entries welcome!
