maybe you have acute problems with meaning

hey, calling an adult who refers to himself as "Jim" with the
diminutive "jimmy" is either a term of endearment (which is ok if
you're dating or a relative) or more obviously an attempt to indicate
you think the individual a child (like "all little bad boys")

nice try to "worm" out of it, but it's still "slimy" given the clear
connotation of reptile and the dictionary's definition of "reptilian"
as "groveling and contemptible; mean, treacherous, harmful."
BTW, If Wikipedia is to be believed, the "amagdyla" [sic, amygdala]
is part of the Limbic system not the Reptilian complex.
