Flick,

check with NIFCO (the Newfoundland Independent
Filmmakers Co-op). They have some really high end
sound recording equipment/studio and lots of well
trained members looking for projects to work on.

their website is: www.nifco.org

you can also check with AFCOOP (The Atlantic
Filmmakers Co-op) in Halifax as there are several
sound recordists there who travel to Newfoundland for
work from time to time.

their website is www.afcoop.ca

coming from vancouver and having been involved with
cineworks, you should know that every province in
canada has a film co-op with equipment, members, and
training workshops.... not sure why you're looking on
frameworks instead of at the film co-ops themselves...
Newfoundland is a very isolated community because of
its geography, and yet NIFCO, is one of the best
outfitted film co-ops in canada in terms of sound and
digital image capture (they're putting in a surround
sound mixing studio this year as well as upgrading to
HD for their image work)... and everyone of their
members has to complete a film on film before they're
even allowed to become a member, so NIFCO is bound to
have highly qualified members looking for work since
there's not a booming movie industry there.

good luck.
