Citizens of the World...

San Francisco Cinematheque is excited and proud to
announce the digital publication of its collected
Program Notes Books, representing programming years
1984–2000 (with more coming soon).

These digital replicas of our bound volumes of Program
Notes represent the entirety of Cinematheque’s
screenings for these years and provide information on
hundreds of films and filmmakers. Many of these
volumes have been out-of-print and unavailable for
years.

Completely indexed, cross-referenced, and
text-searchable, these wonderful digital objects are
available for free download in pdf format from
www.sfcinematheque.org/notebooks.shtml.

Cinematheque is grateful to the Prelinger Library and
the Internet Archive for making this possible.

More:

These books are provided for download, reading,
printing, etc. at absolutely no charge, no obligation,
no catch. Make a donation if you care to (see button
at the bottom of the page). Feel free; don't feel
obligated. Hard-copy bound volumes (if available) can
be purchased from Cinematheque via the same web page,
while supplies last.

If pdf is not your thing, other interesting reading
formats of these books can be found at the Internet
Archive. Please follow this link:

Finally: Please note that Program Notes for individual
programs, beginning February 2007, are available for
download as well. Please check it out in the "Calendar
Archive" section of our website:

More coming soon (we hope).

Enjoy...
