"An Evening with Phil Solomon"
CU Film Studies Professor Philip Solomon will be receiving the Denver
Film Society's 2007 Stan Brakhage Vision Award at the Denver
International Film Festival this coming Sunday evening, November 11,
at 7:00 p.m. at the Starz Film Center at the Tivoli Theater in
Denver. He will be presenting his latest digital video trilogy, IN
MEMORIAM, MARK LAPORE, which premiered at the New York Film Festival
in Lincoln Center this past October (http://www.filmlinc.com/nyff/
program/avantgarde/unending.html), as well as a special program of
personal videos of his dear friend and colleague, the late Stan
Brakhage. The program will end with two of their collaborations,
Seasons... and Concrescence.
