Here's some more ideas, which are all pretty varied in their interpretation
of disaster, from the aftermath of environmental, political, and other such
disasters to sci-fi dystopian apocalypse worlds:

White She-Camel by Xavier Christiaens
On the Third Planet from the sun by Pavel Medvedev
Let me count the ways series by leslie thonton
The Minimata disease films by Tsuchimoto Noriaki
Christoph Draeger was mentioned before for his installations, but I would
also recommend his single channel piece Helenés (Apparition of Freedom)
Aernout Mik's installations would be interesting to look at too specifically
scapegoats and refractions.
