Antioch College, which was very active in the early community-oriented video environment
(check with Bob Devine, who ran the program, who was later President of Antioch U., and is
still there in YSO!),had a kinescope (with variable density optical sound, incidentally) that was
used for this very purpose. I ran a transfer from B&W r-r video to 16mm film on this machine
myself, around 1974 or 1975. Video recorded audio; that was one advantage, if you were
shooting live sound.
