As part of the 2008 festival, Birds Eye View presents a diverse series of artist's films and film art events which explore the fusion of film with technology and contemporary art. A visually stunning film in four parts which captures the fundamental elements - earth, fire, water and air - and the people who pit themselves against them on a daily basis by up and coming Dutch film artist Jiska Rickels.
Saturday 8th
EXPERIMENTAL FEATURE FILM: ECOLOGY + Q&A
ICA CINEMA 1 3.30PM
A look at the unsettling side of family holiday by internationally acclaimed artist Sarah Turner. Ecology takes the themes of destruction and renewal as metaphors in this visually compelling experimental feature.
Friday 7TH March
ARTPROJX PRESENTS OPERA
TATE BRITAIN 6.30PM FREE
Filmmaker + visual artist + composer = OPERA, a fascinating screening of films by thirteen artists exploring the world of contemporary classical music. Hosted at Late at Tate Britain.
