Yes sir please Mr. Conrad. Please tell this story. One
hears a lot of stories about Paul Sharits but this is
a new one.
On the topic of urban myth, one would certainly do
well to consider the works of Eric Saks. Much of his
work seems to involve pranking, far flung conspiracy
theory, and the creation or subversion of obscure,
possibly hypothetical subcultures. He seems to be as
much creating the stuff as interacting with it, and
not really getting it all is kind of the greatness of
the work. Relevant titles include CREOSOTE, NATION
ELEVATED, TOUCH TONE, tobaccogeezers.com, SUDDENLY I
BURST INTO ANOTHER, and many more...
