Hi Sarah. Frank Biesendorfer has some interesting work. He has a
Super-8 golf film. He would be an interesting person to talk to. His
work in progress has a lot to say about football as well. Please
contact me off list for more info.
As far as athletics are concerned, they should be explored just as
much as any other subject in academia if not more so. Everything from
fandom, spectatorship, mapping, physiology, athletics and
screen-culture, etc. etc. etc. Exciting area to continue to explore
and celebrate in art and filmmaking as well.
