Re: print of FOGLINE

I believe perhaps that Larry Gottheim may have
acquired personal prints of this preserved work; I
know he has a new print of TREE OF KNOWLEDGE (in my
opinion a masterpiece, a greatly under-appreciated
work which throws out ideas and challenges that have
mostly gone unaddressd by filmmakers since, in ways
that, excuse me, FOGLINE does not. TREE... may be
recently preserved--I dunno--but there *is* a new
print in Gorrheim's hands and it coincided with the
FOGLINE preservation), for example, that he was
screening around a couple years ago. It might be worth
it to the co-ops to simply invite/encourage him (and
others) to place new prints in distribution. Same
would go for makers not in distribution...

At this point in history, of course, filmmakers may be
asking themselves: Why bother? What do I get out of
it? And these would be good questions to ask...
