If Mahler had intended for his work to be heard on AM radio, he would have
lived in the 1950's.
There is one very simple argument against UBUweb and anything like it -
the work is seen through a dirty dusty dark lens. Experimental film is a
visual medium. Lack of respect for that is simply lack of respect. Some
folks are going to do it. I watched a David Rimmer film once on UBUweb,
and that was enough for me.
Make a xerox copy of a pizza. No matter how good that pizza was, the copy
is going to taste pretty bad.
