listserv madness

Hello all

So over the past two days I have been having an exchange with the software at LISTSERV.AOL.COM. First it asked me to confirm my renewal, which I did as directed. Then after a day or so it sent a message saying my subscription had expired and that I should send the 'subscribe' command to it to renew, which I did. I even copy pasted the command instead of typing. Next it sent 2 messages saying it did not understand my attempted command (which it had told me to send to it). Finally I got it to accept the command by using all caps to which it replied that I am already subscribed.

I know these things happen but does it have to be so difficult? A word to the wise is to always use all caps when sending a command to listserv.

Yours
Ray

PS for those of you on the list who do not want to share you email with the world there is a command that will hide your email from the list. Not sure what it is but I know it exists.
