Given the perennial discussion of copyright issues in film and video
on Frameworks, folks might be especially interested in this new book
in comic book format:
Bound By Laws? Tales from the Public Domain. New Expanded Edition by
Keith Aoki, James Boyle, and Jennifer Jenkins. Durham: Duke U Press,
2008. $8.95 paperback. The authors are lawyers and the argument
details the key issues with thoughtful and practical examples and
advice. Especially useful for dealing with the practical interest
all makers have in copyright, the limits of over-zealous enforcement,
and new strategies such as Creative Commons.
