Almost exactly 20 years ago, UCLA had a really big Ivens retrospective. I
believe he was in attendance, too, so it has been done in L.A. Contact the UCLA
archive-- I've hard they have a big Ivens collection.
There was something else special about that UCLA event, I can't recall right
now-- some kind of preview or showing of excerpts, something like that,
Soviet footage, whatever. I'm sure someone on campus would remember-- there was
lots of literature about it at the time floating around. I clearly remember
that Ivens was there.
