On that note, I may comment that over the past two years Re:Voir has
acquired a dozen 16mm projectors that we have repaired and now rent
out regularly to museums, galleries and cultural centers, along with
loopers when requested. The main idea was to demonstrate that 16mm is
easy and affordable, especially compared with video technology. It
turns out to be quite good business to rent these as well. I would
recommend anyone in a city with cultural centers to acquire a few
used projectors and make them available affordably to anyone who
wants to screen film.
