I am an artist and am making a work with super 8 film and I have a couple of
technical questions that I thought I could pose on this forum
The first is a double projection using two super 8 projectors running the
same piece of footage through both projectors
The first projector is running forward and the second projector is running
in reverse
I have had some problems maintaining the tension of the loop and I wondered
if any one know of a projector that might be good from attempting this
One of the projectors needs to be good at running in reverse over long
periods of time
The second question regarding multiple super 8 projections this work is
using 6 super 8 projectors and running the same piece of super 8 film
through all of the projectors creating a loop
I have tried this using the sankyo dulux 1000 projectors but they all seem
to run at slightly different rates which means that the tension in the loop
goes and the film just breaks
I was wondering if anyone knows of a super 8 projector that might be more
accurate so that I can get all the projectors running at the same speed
Any suggestions or thoughts about this would be greatly appreciated
Best wishes
Elizabeth
