this may be a good point to suggest that for anybody wondering about
christmas gifts the new edition of naked lens: beat cinema (published
by soft skull, expanded and so on edition) is available from all good
bookshops, amazon and so on..... it features, of course, a chapter of
harry smith...enough sales shtick
