I colour-corrected a feature that will be playing at Rotterdam (and a
lot of other places):
http://www.waitingforsancho.com/
It's an experimental making-of of Albert Serra's El Cant Dels Ocells.
Serra seems to be a new darling of the critical scene, i.e. cahiers du
cinema loves him.
El Cant Dels Ocells is almost a religious, meditative exercise in
cinema devotion.
Waiting For Sancho is in some ways a fan film, shot in a similar style
to the film it's about - long pensive takes and picturesque
compositions and pacing that matches the subject - the making of a
film and all its repetitive variations on theme.
Can't find it on the Rotterdam website - their programme doesn't seem
to be up.
Love to hear thoughts on either after the event.
