Visiting Assistant Professor of Film/Video Production
Hampshire College, an independent, innovative liberal arts
institution and member of the Five College consortium, is accepting
applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Film/Video
Production.
We seek candidates with a strong background in 16mm and other
analogue formats and in video and digital post-production and who
should have an active relationship to experimental and
non-conventional approaches to filmmaking. Teaching experience,
professional recognition, and a strong background in history, theory,
and criticism are essential. Experience with analogue and digital
still photography is a plus. Graduate degree or the equivalent
required. Teaching load will be two courses per semester, and also
includes supervision of independent work including senior theses and
student advising. Candidate must be comfortable working in an
interdisciplinary setting and with a wide variety of students and
interests.
