Greenaway's The Falls (1980): examining victims of the Violent Unknown Event.

The World, the Flesh and the Devil (1959) stars Harry Belafonte and reflects cultural anxieties surrounding miscegenation.

The various adaptations of I Am Legend that have been mentioned- The Last Man on Earth, Omega Man and I Am Legend- are interesting to compare and contrast in their treatment of race and the "other" in more coded/ more overt forms.

Six-String Samurai: swordfighting Buddy Holly impersonator on a mission to rule Vegas in a post-nuclear-war USA. Oh dear.

also: Children of Men (2006) and 28 Days Later (2002)

I get the digest so apologies if there are repeats.
