tony is right. what i have seen a number of times is to create a master/slave system, using one of the projectors to drive the other. in practice, the mechanics of one of the projector are idled, for instance by removing a transmission belt between motor and system. then, a long rod (typically 1/4 inch dia.) is attached to one of the rotating parts of the other projector, and is connected through a hole in the casings to that same part of the projector that has been idled. i don't know the details because i don't go to museums to see how gear is wired, but i might have a photo somewhere. if this interests you please write me off list.
