Well, Miriam, I guess it's a regular 8mm camera that shoots with 16mm film. It shoots on half of the 16mm film surface first, then you flip the roll and shoot again, this time the other half of the 16mm film surface. When you process it the lab cuts the whole strip of 16mm film in half and you get two strips of 8mm cut together with your footage. Now, if you don't ask for the cutting, you get 16mm film with four frames on each frame: each 16mm frame in height equals two 8mm frames and since you shot the film twice, one on each half of 16mm on an 8mm camera, you get a screen that is divided in four small frames in the 16mm screen. The results are very interesting and you might be able to work with it somehow.

All the best,

Jorge L.
