Re: 8mm versus 16mm

I find that if you have paid with paypal the resolution centre thing in paypal is really useful, as the paypal people can see the person is not replying and then you just quickly raise your dispute status to a claim.

Kerry is right about sellers stalling for time tho, so calling paypal may be a good move if this has been going on a long time.

To access the resolution centre, you go into my ebay and it is down on the left hand side. Once you click on it it will ask you if you paid by paypal and if you did then it will ask you to log into paypal. Do that and the paypal dispute thing will start. Once it is under way you have a limited amount of time to raise it to a claim, although I'm guessing that won't be a problem as you will probably be going to a claim quite quickly.

I think Kerry is also right that it is better to ring paypal than email them if you are not going through the resolution centre. Email can get lost or take too long.

Fred also makes a good point about being really clear about just the basic fact that it was advertised as 16mm and it isn't. Only tell them what they need to know and don't allow the issue to become confused or clouded. It was advertised as a 16mm camera and it is an 8mm camera. It's simple and it is straightforward. The seller may try and muddy the waters or put on spin but it is simple. It was advertised as 16mm and it is an 8mm camera.

Good luck and let us know how you get on. :)

love

Freya
