Adam jokes, but for years anytime we showed Frampton films here at Anthology the esteemed critics at Time Out would include a "Frampton Comes Alive" quip instead of, say, an actual blurb about the work.
That said, we are screening the restored HAPAX LEGOMENA series at Anthology in two program each night starting this evening and running through next Tuesday. There will also be a special lecture and performance of Frampton's seminal A LECTURE on Saturday afternoon, as well as a screening of ZORN'S LEMMA. For more info on all the special guest speakers/introducers (Keith Sanborn, Annette Michelson, P. Adams Sitney, Mike Zyrd, Kenneth Eisenstien, Bruce Jenkins, Bill Brand and Dr. Gerry O'Grady) please check the Anthology site: www.anthologyfilmarchives.org
Thanks,
A.
