hi-con & VNF processing

All,

I'm in the middle of teaching a 16mm production course & a bunch of
the students bought hi-con for their final projects after I showed
them how to hand process. Now some of them have decided they'd rather
have it processed at a lab (mostly because I only cross-process as
negative & they want positive images. I'd rather have negative images
& not deal with sulfuric acid). ANYWAY, I'm wondering what labs can
handle hi-con & how we tell them how to process it. One of the
students just shot some footage rating the stock at ASA 12, which is
obviously a made up number, since the stock doesn't really have an ASA
rating. Any ideas?

Second, I'm wondering if anyone out there knows if there are labs that
still can handle the old VNF Ekta. I've got a lead on a bunch of
rolls of the stuff, but I don't want to foist unprocessable film on my
kids. It would save 'em a ton of money though, so if there's someone
out there who can handle it, I'd love to know.

Thanks much,
Roger
