Hello,
I just thought I'd pass on the sad news of the sudden death last week of
screenwriter, playwright, essayist Ronald Tavel. Tavel, of course, wrote
the screenplays for many Warhol films, including Vinyl, The Life of Juanita
Castro, Screen Test #2, and Hedy, and was a founder of the Theatre of the
Ridiculous. He also collaborated relatively frequently with Jack Smith, from
photos and Flaming Creatures on to theater and performance. Like Smith, he
was an articulate fan of '40s star Maria Montez.

Best wishes,
Marc
