Actually, only Eye Myth is in 35mm. Eye Myth Educational is 16mm only.

The original for Eye Myth is hand-painted (including some embedded moth wings) 35mm b/w found footage, but was apparently not printed in 35mm by Stan until at least the late '70s, when an internegative was struck. Until then it was available only in reduced 16mm form. In the course of this reduction, Stan got to experimenting with different ways of working with the footage, so the complete 9-second piece found its way into at least three finished films - Eye Myth, Eye Myth Educational, and The Horseman, the Woman and the Moth.

The original for Eye Myth Educational is essentially a 16mm reversal (Anscochrome) reduction of the 35mm original, optically printed a few different ways to stretch out the original footage, hence the 'educational' tag implying that one can study the footage more in this version. The structure of Eye Myth Educational is as follows:
-hand-scratched "Eye Myth" title
-original 'Eye Myth' film (1:1)
-'by Brakhage' title
-'Eye Myth' stretch-printed 4:1
-'Eye Myth' stretch-printed 3:1
-'Eye Myth' stretch-printed 2:1
-original 'Eye Myth' film (1:1)
-'by Brakhage' title

The Horseman, the Woman and the Moth is a very elaborate articulation of the original Eye Myth footage, printed in many ways on several color and b/w stocks, with many different effects, in a very complex A/B-roll edit.
