of course, some people made some films in the Bay Area and some films
elsewhere, so, you could include Kenneth Anger and Ron Rice, who both
made major works there but are often are associated with NYC.
Likewise with the Kuchar's who've divided their time between both
coasts. And Harry Smith lived in Berkeley too for a while.

anyhow, off the top of my head, and other than the above, the people
i've written about who produced work and lived in the Bay Area include:
