Something I have been wondering about recently is using a print as a
submission source. Having recently completed a film on film I feel risky
submitting my only print to festivals. I know having a video transfer would
make things much less risky, but having just paid lab fees makes being able
to afford a good transfer hard to do. I was considering the possibly of
doing my own transfer with the best equipment that I could manage to borrow.
Now the question is, does using a less than perfect video transfer
jeopardize ones chances at getting into festivals?
Any adivice would be greatly appreciated.
