And do we dare expand this conversation to include
curators/distributors/critics. et al who fail to return phone calls or to respond to submissions or
queries? There are particular institutions I'm thinking of here but I'll
refrain from indulging in specific recrimination for the moment. I find
this to be much more vexing than the absence of a response from festivals.
Most of the venues for experimental work, in my experience, have been quite
diligent, but armatures of protection surrounding some of the major screening
venues are all but impenetrable.
