*Position Summary*:

The LUNAFEST Program Manager (LPM) is responsible for overseeing the
planning, implementation and management of LUNAFEST (LUNA’s national film
festival by, for and about women). This includes management of festival
timeline, film submission and judging process, recruitment and management of
venues, working with the Board of Advisors, development of creative
materials and promotion of the festival both internally and externally. This
position necessitates strong project management skills in order to navigate
an ongoing, multi-facetted festival. Leadership, charisma, and tactical
execution are all required of this role. The position is responsible for
bringing the richness of Clif Bar & Co to each level of the festival,
keeping the festival consistent with overall LUNA branding and business
plans, delivering a quality of customer service equal to the quality of our
products, guiding the festival vision and acting as a Clif Bar & Co liaison
within the community.

Principal Accountabilities

1- Oversee LUNAFEST. Responsible for managing, developing and
coordinating all aspects of the program including but not limited to: Film
Procurement, Board of Advisors, Creative Design, Venue Management, On-line
elements & promotional items. The LPM will be "face" of LUNAFEST to the
public: presenting an articulate, professional expression of the program
while managing high profile events.

2- Develop strategic marketing ideas to strengthen and grow the LUNAFEST
Film festival while keeping its outreach and messaging consistent with the
overall LUNA brand. This includes researching and facilitating sponsorship
of the festival and working with like-minded partners on ways to extend the
festivals reach and impact.

3- Accountable for uniting a diverse, multilevel team consisting of
company executives, the festival Board of Advisors, internal brand teams,
external organizations, and community program leaders around the efforts of
the film festival. Develop overall project timelines and ensure all
stakeholders understand project implications. Ensure cross-functional
project managers are on time in meeting milestones and contingency plans are
in place. Provide leadership and enthusiasm for the team and project.

4- Develop the festival budget and track against yearly goals and
expectations. Track funds raised and manage venues to collect owned dollars.

5- Be a company spokesperson for the festival. Speak with confidence on
the work and benefit of the program. Develop persuasive promotional copy to
sell or support the film festival. Develop copy for promotional materials,
director’s kits, and ongoing correspondence to venues, CB&C, and LUNAFEST
Board of Advisors

6- Build relationships with and provide guidance for film festival
venues. Aspire to a high level of customer service. Cater to a wide range of
venue needs. Responsible for providing detailed guidance to venues while
maintaining the overall brand vision for the festival.

7- Oversee designs for LUNAFEST materials to ensure brand image and
festival consistency. Traffic items through production and approval process
from creative through approval. Items include, but are not limited to film
festival tickets, programs, director’s kit, promotional items, event
supplies, print and web collateral, and other graphics.

8- Solicit and review films for festival. This includes distributing
film submission requests, reviewing films for festival, establishing judging
guidelines and shepherding films through the extensive review process.
Oversee film duplication and recording.

9- Travel to key film festivals to scout potential Lunafest films and to
spread awareness about LUNAFEST to the film trade.

10- Manage relationships with film makers. Act as the main point of contact
for film makers through the film submission, duplication and judging process
as well as through the festival dates.

11- Serve as event planner for key Lunafest dates including trade show
screenings, premieres, and other key community shows. Travel to showcase
events as needed.

12- Manage the LUNAFEST Board of Advisors. Schedule BOA meetings, set
agenda and lead meetings. Recruit new members as needed. Point person for
Board of Advisors.

13- Be an advocate for the consumer by expressing their values and ideals.
Be the voice of the consumer to insure authenticity throughout the program
while continuing to build trust and loyalty with the consumer and the LUNA
brand.

14- Company Philosophy- models CB&C values, principals and best practices
of leadership (both externally & internally)

*Job Difficulty:*

The LUNAFEST Program Manager is designated as “owner” of all thing related
to LUNAFEST. They are expected to act as leader of the festival both in and
outside of the company. The LPM is challenged to strengthen and grow the
LUNAFEST program while always looking for ways to tie it back to and further
support the Luna brand. The LPM must maintain knowledge and understanding of
the film industry (and women’s role in it), local and national nonprofit
organizations, Luna brand strategies, and objectives, Luna’s Marketing
programs, as well as maintain in depth knowledge of product features,
ingredients, values and overall Clif Bar company philosophy.

A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant event planning
experience is preferred. Candidate should have a strong knowledge of film
industry, event planning, promotions, and cross functional team management.
Excellent presentation, customer service and project management skills, the
ability to work independently and with a team, ability to multi-task various
elements of a project while balancing the strategical vision and logistical
execution of the program and strong initiative will contribute to success in
this position. Previous knowledge and experience in the film industry and
working with nonprofit organizations in a fundraising capacity a plus. Strong
knowledge of Word, Excel, and the Internet. This position requires moderate
to extensive travel.
