"MUST BE TYPED" suggests that there may be some technological
reason, like insisting on using the "special pencil provided" or the
machine will not read your application and will discard.

I will not feel confident about filling anything in by hand on this
entry form until I hear a statement from Bryan Konefsky , Festival
Director, that this will be acceptable or not in no uncertain terms.

Otherwise I am not going to waste my time and/or money on this
particular festival.

Right-- these explicit rules kind of work against the whole idea of a
festival like this. If they can't read it, they can just keep a record of that
fact-- but how often does that ever happen? It's silly to have a "must" for
an underground festival...
 
All this techno-time wasting on process and not product-- that's the bane
of digitization. It becomes all about hardware that always changes.
