Surely it depends on what we identify as sensory overload, for
example to some a good example of sensory overload is the current
Hollywood vogue for rapid cut spectacle with huge booming
soundtracks, think Transfromers et al by Michael Bay for example..,
conversely the just looking aspect of - say - Wavelength would
overload people who identify rapid edits and action as cinema, asked
to focus and concentrate may frustrate their viewing and they may
describe it as 'too much'.
