I'd certainly second Marilyn's reference to Brakhages late works. These
raise marvelous issues inre the cognitive relationships between language and
image. But there is also a wonderful short film from the 80's called "One
Day Franz Brought Me to His House" by Ernest Marrero and Susan Kouguell that
presents two simultaneous, complementary texts on the screen, very much
like bass and treble notation. I have no idea where you'd find it but John
Columbus at the Black Maria Festival might have contact info.
