1930s-40 animators??

Hi People out there,

can you help me identify a film maker, or film maker couple, man and
woman. They're American, around the 1930s to 40s. Animation, bright
geometric colours, a bit like Len Lye's dyed and printed on film
works. I saw a DVD of their work and their contemporaries on an
expensive box set on Amazon or something, I just can't remember their
names
