Okay, thanks that makes sense. I'm going to have another go. The celer-reverser kit is a 4 step process and has combined the fix and bleach (called Blix), but I'm working a really cold room with chemicals at 20 C so yep, try again.
Thanks for your help.

My guess is that it has to do with the temperature of the chemicals. Depending on the temperature, you need to adjust the timing. I know that the kodak direct positive kit has a chart for the number of minutes for the developer and redeveloper depending on whether it's roll no. 1 or 2 or 3 etc. as well as the temp of the chemistry. I hand-process using that chart. Otherwise for the bleach, it's 2 mins if the chemistry is between 66-70 F, same with clear bath, and 5 mins for fixer at the same temp.

I'm not sure if I'm using the right timings (taken from super8camera.com website, developer 6 mins, bleach and fix 2 mins, 2nd developer 2 mins). Obvioulsy different timings are required depending on film stock and developer? I see that the kodak D-94a dev kits state 60 secs.
