This week," Best of Times", a compilation of 14 films made for my
NYTimes blog "The Animated Life" was released as an app for the
iphone and ipad. It's a "Vook", a kind of video book, or a book full
of movies. The text shares a page with the movie until you click the
movie to play and it fills the screen. It's for sale on itunes for $
6.99. I like the idea of a pocket full of films. I also like the
idea that another venue has opened up for experimental films. Vook is
