Subject: [Frameworks] BamCinema

Dear Friends,
The Brecht Forum in partnership with Red Channels and the Brooklyn Academy of Music(BAM) are proud to present Contraband Cinema. Dealing in transgression, allegory, agit-prop, and personal essay, Contraband Cinema presentsexplosive stories of secret histories and public battles. In bothcontent and form, these films ignite a dialogue around the question, what makes a political film?

Join former Black Panther Kathleen Cleaver, science fiction writer Samuel Delaney, sports writer and Nation columnist Dave Zirin, Lincoln Van Sluytman for nine evenings of political dialogue and awesome films.

The festival begins on June 30th and runs to July 8th. For more information check out BAMcinemtak at http://bam.org/view.aspx?pid=2320
