So many names on this list! But I wasn't sure if any one had mentioned
Chantal Akerman yet, from early films like Hotel Monterey, News From Home,
and The Eighties, through to her films that are more usually thought of as a
"documentary series": D'Est, From the Other Side, Sud, and Là-bas. I also
recommend the films of Hara Kazuo as well as Abbas Kiarostami's Close-Up.
